A harddisk crash? Stay calm and .....

  • Turn your computer off.
  • If you feel adventurous, you could try to start the computer from another disk. This may allow you access to the data (If say a part of the operating system on the disk is damaged). However, please contact us at the first signs of trouble.
  • Try not to write to the troublesome disk. This may complicate matters only further.

Keep calm, and:

  • think if you have a recent backup of your important files.
  • do you have the time to enter all your data again?

Take action!

  • Download the orderform or call us at 0800 - 220 20 20 to ask for the documetn to be faxed to you.
  • Fill in the orderform, and pack your disk carefully.

Harddisks are sensitive devices. They can be harmed by mechanical and electrical shocks. Therefore, pack your drive as follows:

  • Put the drive in an anti-static bag. If you don't have one, normal copying paper will have to do.
  • Put the disk in a box, with at least an inch of room between the drive and the box.
  • fill the room between the drive and the box with some springy material. Those special shipping-chips will work very well. If you don't have these, make small balls out of normal copying paper.
  • Put the orderform with the harddisk.

Send your harddisk (or floppy, tape etc) to:
