Packing and sending instructions
A hard disk is sensitive to vibrations, magnetic fields and static electricity. That's why it is very important to pack the disk carefully. Do the following:
- Insert the disk in an anti-static bag. If you don't have one beside you, use ordinary copying paper instead.
- Place the disk in a box. Make sure there is at least 2cm. space between the disk and the walls of the box.
- Fill in the remaining space with shock absorbing material, such as foam-blocks or a couple of layers of elastic foil. Be careful with static packing material, such as expanded polystyrene (EPS).
- Make sure that the harddisk cannot move to the side of the box. Use enough filler material.
Put the completed orderform with the
harddisc/harddisk/tape/etc. in a box, and send it to:
